About JLLT



The Journal of Linguistics and Language Teaching (JLLT) is an academic platform, with its inaugural issue launched in 2010.  JLLT serves as a conduit for the global dissemination of scientific findings spanning the spectrum of linguistics and language teaching. It also provides a forum for dialogue among linguists and language teaching practitioners.

JLLT is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes two issues annually. Manuscripts submitted in English, German, French and/or Spanish are welcome. All submitted manuscripts, except those invited by the editor, undergo a thorough evaluation process conducted by two anonymous referees. Only manuscripts that receive positive evaluations are ultimately  published

JLLT operates independently of any language institution and offers free open access to both authors and readers. 



Authors and readers can expect the following benefits:

  • Global Accessibility: Articles are published globally, circumventing the limitations of print-only or pay-to-access online journals.
  • Quality Publication: Upon submission, manuscripts are promptly forwarded to the editorial advisory board. If accepted, they will be accessible online within an estimated eight weeks. As a sufficient number of articles accumulate, supplementary content such as reviews or announcements are appended to finalise the issue. 
  • Current Scientific Findings: JLLT ensures that findings are contemporary at the time of publication, thereby guaranteeing their relevance when accessed by the scientific community.  
  • Comprehensive Issues: Each issue, inclusive of front and back pages, is published in a printable PDF format, mirroring a corresponding paper version. 
  • Expert Editorial Team: The Journal is overseen by an experienced editor and an Editorial Advisory Board.

 

JLLT targets linguists and foreign language methodologists, ranging from university professors to PhD students and teachers at all types of schools. It also provides a publication platform for young scientists to present their academic projects for discussion and receive valuable feedback from the reader and author community.

Accepted text types include articles, pre-publications of PhD projects for the publication and protection of intermediate research results, reports on scientific projects and conferences, innovative study reports, and book reviews.

The Editor and Editorial Advisory Board of JLLT remain committed to fostering a vibrant academic community that values rigorous scholarship, innovative teaching methodologies, and open dialogue. We kindly invite all linguists, methodologists, language educators, and researchers to contribute their knowledge and experiences to our growing body of work by submitting manuscripts.
